Our body changes all the time as we grow older. As a result any correction made to your error of refraction can still change as your body ages.
YUPPY: Doc, someone told me that LASIK treatment is permanent. Is this true?
DR TAN: Yes, if the LASIK was performed after age 21, or once your grade is stable, your results will be permanent. Of course, once you reach past 40, all of us will need reading glasses, and after age 60, most of us will have cataracts and then your grade will change again. The younger you are at the time you have LASIK, the longer you will be contact lens or glasses-free.
VO: Trust only in an eye care clinic that uses a team approach to eye care. A team of experienced and pioneering doctors is ready to give you long-term total eye care you need and deserve.
